Final blog

This past semester in College writing has been a good one; I’ve learned a lot. Number one, I learned how to blog the correct way. When I came in I would just talk about random stuff in bad order, well now I know in order to have a good blog you have to be very descriptive and write in order. Another thing I have learned is how important it is that when you write to use good grammar and good vocabulary, because it shows what kind of person and writer you are.
College writing I believe met my needs really well, sitting on a computer every day writing numerous blogs about random things makes you become a better writer just because of the repetition. coming out  of high school into college isn’t as easy as you think, and writhing wise I believe this is a great course to take just to show you what professors and college is all about.
This course has helped me in other courses for a couple reasons. One it has helped me to be a better typer, speller, and be more descriptive in my paragraphs. Two is it has taught me more ways to use different programs on the computer. For instance, Prezi; I’ve already used prezi on a couple other projects outside of this class. Also blogger, this website is really cool and if I ever get into blogging again I will use this.
I believe I haven’t done as good as I could of fully in this course, I started out really rough but with a lot of hard work I’ve earned myself a B, and hopefully after it’s all said and done I will have an A. But overall I am very confident over this course because I’ve learned a lot and I don’t regret taking this course or doing anything I’ve done yet so far.
I wish I could be a better blogger, because this is actually kind of fun, I enjoy writing and talking about thing on my mind. So if I had to pick one thing I cold still improve on it would be blogging. For example I wasn’t too good at it at the beginning of the year and then I got better, towards the end of the semester, if I was really good I would do it all the time.
One thing I would change of this class is how long it is, I feel like I don’t get enough time to get a full and best to my abilities into a blog. Other than that I like this class and I wish I could take it again... but I can’t.

Confused Words

This exercise was actually kind of fun for me; it’s timed so you have to be on the tip of your seat the whole time. This game ranges from middle school and high school, I still dint now about college student but it’s a good reminder if anything. Playing this myself; the only thing that confused me was I forgot what homonyms was, then I realized and it was easy. Playing this makes you realize that these word you have probably messed up on a lot and being active with a timer going off make you think quick. Over all i want to say that this is a great exercise for anyone and that everyone should do this for at least a little reminder, it’s quick and very affective. And again I recommend this to most people out there; just to do it is good, it helps remind you of these very small things that can mess you up so much.

Magical Capitals

This blog is pretty corny, but for little kids this would be great! just not college student. I believe were at an educational point in our lives where if we have problems with capitalization we have a problem. Now for elementary, middle school students I would have to believe this being right up their alley. You know there's a cute little background with a flying fairy, little kids would think of that being cute and fun. Over all this is still a great exercise for some, it still shows good thought in words of trying to help people understand what should be capitalized and what not, I just think we should send these around to younger kids because they would have more fun with it and get more out of it. Kids love the little things, color, fairies or even the noise; so this activity is perfect for them; I play this and want to shoot myself from hearing the noise and even playing this.

Grammer Ninja

This is a good game for people how have trouble picking out nouns, verbs, pronouns, adverbs and etc... It’s easy it's fun. I would recommend this game to anybody because there are 3 different levels: Beginner, skilled, master ninja. Looking back when I was a little kid, it would have been nice to have this because the words are big and broke up into squares so it’s easier to read and pick out the different nouns, verbs etc. When educational games are broke up like this, I believe this helps kids more than anything; they read grammar ninja, all they hear is ninja. So they play it and get excited because of the noise and you get to throw ninja stars, and the great thing about is your still learning! Over all this is a great tool for any aged kid or adult, yes it's probably really easy but it’s a good reminder for all of us who may have just forgot a little about these.

My Interest Blog

Beer! people go crazy for beer, different kinds, different shaped bottles. As i read this blog on different kinds of beer, it makes me realize how many different kinds there really are, and these aren't even half of them. You got Heinaken light, Pale gold, flimsy head, lots of carbonation, mildly skunky, thin-bodied and almost flavorless.
Lvivske 1715 Lager, Easter European, its a weak beer and  a pale straw color with a frothy-yet-fleeting head, and lacing of the same ilk.
Left Hand Milk Stout, "deep black with a brown head  and the sides of the glass are awash in thick lace.  This beer almost smells like chocolate cake batter.  It is smooth and creamy with light coffee and heavy cream notes, some yeast and a faint bitterness".
Ayinger Oktober Fest- Marsen; this beer was pacifically made for October fest, thees a shade of deep orange-honey with a big dollop of frothy head on top. They say this is a great beer to have, but it only comes out one time a year.
Summer Wit, this is made in Barrington, IL. It's a canned beer with hints of citrus and spices. It's a bitter beer but also tastes really good as people say.
Lagunitas Zephyr, it's a wheat lager, steam beer and from California. Studies show that this beer does not taste very good.
Kostritzer Oktoberfest Beer, this is another october beer which means it only come out once a year. It's malty, grainy and super smooth, a  taste of roasted carmel malt being closely followed by a doughy, grainy flavory and a finish with a touch of bitterness.
And lastley the "Old Style Lager" it's been around since 1902 and made in Chicago. It's a "sweet with a faint graininess and virtually no hops presence.  It is thin-bodied, mildly sweet, fizzy on the tongue and finally shows a bit of hop bitterness at the back of the tongue and throat".
All and all, there's just so many fifferent kind of beers out there that are really good and really bad. It's crazy to think how many different kinds there are, all you really have to do is just go experience the different tastes, wether ou like it or not it would be cool to say you tasted all of these and who knows you might actually have a new favorite after you do.

My favorite song

Back in high school when I played football was when I first heard of this song, this song has so much meaning to me and expresses everything you think and feel about being a senior playing football. I like this song mostly because it brings back the best memories I have ever had in high school. My last few games, the team would go to the cafe and eat like every Friday. Instead of eating and then leaving we would stay a little bit later and watch the music video and the day of our last game it brought tears to my eyes.
The starting out first two paragraphs are the most meaning full me!
When I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass/
I'm back in my helmet, cleats and shoulder pads/
Standing in the huddle listening to the call/
Fans going crazy for the boys of fall/
They didn't let just anybody in that club/
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood/
To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall/
Kings of the school man, we're the boys of fall/
Well it's turn and face the Stars and Stripes/
It's fighting back them butterflies/
It's call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/
And it's knocking heads and talking trash/
It's slinging mud and dirt and grass/
It's I got your number, I got your back when your back's against the wall/
You mess with one man you got us all/
The boys of fall/
When it starts off by saying "when I feel that chill, I smell that fresh cut grass, I’m back in my cleat, helmet and shoulder pads, standing in the huddle listening to the call, fans going crazy for the boys of fall, etc... for about the next 11 lines it’s tough to even say because it’s all so true, and when you realize its over its sad and this song emphasizes; enjoy it while it lasts cause when it’s over its really over. I would change nothing in the song it’s all perfect for what really happens so watch the video and if you have ever played a sport you have absolutely just loved you'll understand.

Stumble upon

http://www.myfox8.com/wghp-receivermakesunbelievableon-7485482,0,803858.story

Before you do anything watch this video!
.
.
.
I love football and football loves me, we go perfect with each other, when i grow up i want to be a coach. this is how much i love it! Today i stumbled upon this video of this catch. This is an incredible catch, this looks like high school players; this kid is a serious athlete making catches like this one are close to impossible if your not physically fit or just a pure athlete. I wonder how old this kid is? or what grade he is in? is this kid getting any looks from colleges?
What I have found out is he is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and his name is Edwin Baptiste. This is said to be one of the best catches ever in high school football in the state of North Carolina.
Athletes today are evolving, what i mean by this? high school athletes are just getting abnormally big, i don't get it. At my old high school we had this kid that is 6'8'', 350, solid muscle. There was a kid at Dr. Philips high school about 45 minutes away from my house is name is Dee Hart, he was only about 5'10'' but he is built like a tank. He plays running back, he broke all sorts of records and got a full scholarship it the University of Alabama. So like this kid in the video, if he keeps up the hard work he will get a big scholarship to a big D1 school.

Hyperbole And A Half

I hate this blog! I feel as if when I read this it's meant for little kids, with the corny pictures to all the reading it's just not my thing. So was it meant for little kids? Why are there so many words? Why did you write all the words in the pictures all bad and what not? That to me is trashy and shows no class.
So with saying all of this I would have to say that is blog is for a younger mature audience. Even though there are some language in here a younger mature audience fits this blog perfectly. Language is a big part in picking an audience, when you have "shut up I hate you" and "go F*** yourself" this just isn't suitable for little kids and they shouldn't be hearing this. This is why I chose it for a younger but mature audience.
I bring back to fact that this blog is so long; for people like me that don't like to read, we like to see shorter and more interesting blogs. For people who do would like this, you get the point. But she also makes another post under "Best Of" it’s called "The Alot is better than you at everything" not only is this one pretty good but its short therefore I don't mind to read it.

Editing Blog

Editing a blog, the best way for me to do this is to listen to myself talk. Listening to myself talk helps me because I can pick out while I'm reading to myself and as I hear myself things that don't make any since. One thing that I don't like about this is you don't know when you have a spelling errors. Over all I learn better this way and I helps me more than anything when it come to editing my blogs.

" Ever So Strange"

This Blog is pretty funny, It’s called "Ever So Strange “for a reason. There's weird videos like "Whale Decomposition, Quail Chicks in Space, Hagfish ties Himself In A Knot and Racial Lesbian Nuns". These videos are just weird! Watch the "Hagfish ties himself in a Knot" It’s this worm that just twirls around and around... very boring and very weird!
Then you look at the others, "Quantum Levitation, Criminal Penguins, and Squirrels Best Day Ever" Yes, these might be a little weird but there awesome! Quantum Levitation is a piece of dry ice on a magnetic field sitting about an inch or two above the magnet, they ever make a track and it floats around the track! Criminal Penguins is hilarious, this penguin steals rocks off another bed and the other one doesn't know about it. The best for last is Squirrels Best Day Ever, this is my favorite. A squirrel is inside of a peanut butter jar going crazy licking everything up, absolutely priceless.

I like this blog, because its different. Its not your typical blog about something you already know, this is about animals you don't know about and tings that look impossible but so plausible and something you can do to! My question is, where do you find the Hagfish? The Purpose of this blog is to inform you of "weird" things, things you probably don't know. The audience is for anybody really, except it probably goes teowards men cause i dont think women would care about any of these things.

"Steve don't eat it"

There has been a solid four months that i have been in this class; when i read this blog it blows my mind! I feel like my blog writing skills have improved a lot, and then i read this and I'm still just as bad as i was when i started. There's so much to it, it's funny, and there are many facts of these different foods. For instance,
dripping with natto goodness
This looks absolutely disgusting... its called "the sneeze" even sounds gross. This is the difference though, this blog is entertaining, it fun to read. This is why blogging is some what big today because people are talented enough to write a something and make it really grab your attention and make you want to read it and more. It starts out with an eye grabbing tittle, "Steve don't eat it" Its funny, and it makes you take a second look at it and want to click on it to read about this funny title you saw one after noon out of no where.
Cuitlacoche, Pickled Pork Rinds, Potted meat and etc... just down right nasty looking, but Ive never heard of them, and now that I've seen them i would never even think to eat this.
I really like this blog because Its about food which is pretty awesome. Questions i have for this blog are, why in the world would you eat potted meet? This looks so disgusting, meet in a can that looks like cat food eww. The audience for this blog is definitely towards younger teens, and people ion there 20's and 30's any body else just would care i think.

A must see Stumble!!!

I stumbled upon this video and just had to share it. For all of you football fans your gonna love this!
This right here goes to show you how athletic and talented NFL players really are. Yes their way to over paid but when you see stuff like this it makes you second guess yourself, players that go pro who don't turn out to be the best there still are that good. Their freaks, monsters you name it.... NFL players are the real deal whether you like it or not. My teammate and friend back home is NFL material, 6'8'' 350 pounds! He's bigger right now than most NFL players, So the next time your yelling at the T.V. screen saying how bad they suck or you dont like them remember this video! Check this out and tell me what you think.

Free Blog #2

Fall Break was pretty awesome! Last Friday after school my friend drove me to the airport, I had a one way ticket to the Sanford airport in Orlando Florida. When I arrived my mom was standing out in the lobby waiting on me; never been so happy to see her in my life! On our way home we stopped at my dads work to see him, we ate a little dinner and then went home. Throughout my visit friends would come and go, but one thing that stayed was the rain... three days! my yard and everything else was flooded, nothing to do but to sit in the house, watch football and eat. My last night the rain finally stopped and it was blazing hot, most of the water had evaporated so I was going to have a fire! So a handful on my friends come over, were all hanging out by a fire talking and having a little fun. My fires back home are famous for what we call Coal Baseball, this is where we drag a nice red hot coal out of the fire. Another person gets a stick, the person with the coal quickly throws the coal in the air and the hitter has 3 chances to hit it, same rules as baseball. Best score gets a present, sober or not this is really fun game to play with friends. Late night weekend fun, this will always be remembered and hopefully it will comtinue to happen when i go back home.

Favorite Movie

Austin Powers is the best movie ever!
I have three brothers; when we were little and still today when we get a chance we sit down and watch these movies. Ever time we watch him we just die laughing, it never gets old. My mom hates what we call "stupid humor" movies and every now and then she'll sit down and watch it with us! now that means something.I believe this movies is our favorite because it actually mean something to us.... what i mean by that is it bring back memories from when we were all little kids, and this movie would bring the family together and just make us laugh. So by saying all of this; This movie by a long shot is my favorite movie ever!

This is rediculous, figured id post this so everyone could see this!

Reflection on Blogging

Taking this class and blogging everyday has taught me quite a bit. Its taught me the importance of being propper when you write, how to use propper spelling, punctuation, and writing complete sentences. I dicovered what blogging actually is and how you do it. Also different methods of speaking your mind. I truley believe my writing has gotten better, because wrinting everyday period makes you better. Blogging if different from other papers because when you blog you can be very leanent on what you say and how you say it, and theres no structure. I believe blogging is deffinitly a good thing to continue, i would like to do more sport blogs though. Even fishing, Hunting blogs would be pretty awesome to write about because those are my favorite things to do.

Good vs. Bad Blogs

The difference between a good and bad blog:
A good blog has been researched and makes good sense when you read it. It has a story line behing it, and has a meaning behind it. It has good grammer, correct spelling and good punctuation. A good blog is something you can relate to; something that even if you dont relate to it, you can still make a good assumtion about what it means.
A bad blog doesnt make very good sense, it has terrible spelling and bad punctuation. There's no story line, and has no meaning behind it. Its jumpy and just not fun to read; its short and has no picures- its boring.

The Perfect Life!

The perfect life... Go to college and get a good education!; while doing that excel in a sport like football, volleyball and when you graduate go to play professionally. NFL, or olympic/Beach Volleyball that would be amazing!!While playing these professional sports meet a beautiful Young lady, get married and have three kids. I would live in a nice house with an F350 king ranch, a 2011 brand new Camero and for the wife a black Excalade. I would have a lot of land, full of ponds on it so i could go fishing when ever i wanted. I would also Stock the place with deer so in hunting season i can go and eventually take my kids one day. Live there for the rest of my life, be a successful professional athlete and help my kids become one day become what they want to be. Then just cozy down in my house and love life to the fullest!

Hero

Your are a creator!

What this means to me... I feel like im a leader; ive been trough alot and ive done alot as the leader on a team. I feel like football has made me this way. My goal is identity, i feel like im still searching for what i wanna be when i grow up. My fear is inauthenticity, not really sure what this means so... I am reponsive to any problem usualy calm, my goal in life is for self-creation and self-acceptence. My gift is individuality and vocation...  This survey was just ok, not a big fan. It informs you of what your attributes are which is cool but i feel like the words they use are too big for the average person, so it makes it difficult to understand.

College Football

Week one football news and notes.
 Games to watch:September 1st,  Kentucky at Western Kentucky - 8:15 p.m. (ESPNU)
 September 3rd, Louisiana-Monroe at Florida State - 2:30 p.m. (ESPNU)
and then September 9th, FIU at Louisville - 6 p.m. (ESPN).
The 1st week out all of the smaller teams usually play big teams, so don't surprised to see some crazy upsets. For example 2007 App. State defeats Michigan! Who would of thought that. I'm calling it... FIU beats Louisville 23-10.

Comidians

Adam Standler and Eddie Murphy, absolutely hilarious! Ive watched both of these comedians since Ive been a kid! My dad, brothers and I would watch countless hours of thier movies. Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore. Billy Madison, The Water Boy, Mr. Deeds, 50 First Dates, The Nutty Proffesor, Shrek, and many more. These movies are classics, when we used to go on road trips we would bring a portable T.V. and watch these movies over and over again. Adam Standler and Eddie Murphy used to be a stand up comedians, they were hilarious, people loved them. Then T.V. got popular and the jumped onto the movie train.

Seminoles?????

Will the Florida State Seminoles win a National championship this year or the next?
I think yes! Between EJ Manuel and their defence they will run over every team that gets in their way. The 2011 recuiting class was huge, two 5 star recuits, twelve 4 star and a buch of 2 and 3 star recruits. James Wilder Jr. from Tampa Plant H.S. is an athlete! He can do anything on the field and will start his freshman year.
