Final blog

This past semester in College writing has been a good one; I’ve learned a lot. Number one, I learned how to blog the correct way. When I came in I would just talk about random stuff in bad order, well now I know in order to have a good blog you have to be very descriptive and write in order. Another thing I have learned is how important it is that when you write to use good grammar and good vocabulary, because it shows what kind of person and writer you are.
College writing I believe met my needs really well, sitting on a computer every day writing numerous blogs about random things makes you become a better writer just because of the repetition. coming out  of high school into college isn’t as easy as you think, and writhing wise I believe this is a great course to take just to show you what professors and college is all about.
This course has helped me in other courses for a couple reasons. One it has helped me to be a better typer, speller, and be more descriptive in my paragraphs. Two is it has taught me more ways to use different programs on the computer. For instance, Prezi; I’ve already used prezi on a couple other projects outside of this class. Also blogger, this website is really cool and if I ever get into blogging again I will use this.
I believe I haven’t done as good as I could of fully in this course, I started out really rough but with a lot of hard work I’ve earned myself a B, and hopefully after it’s all said and done I will have an A. But overall I am very confident over this course because I’ve learned a lot and I don’t regret taking this course or doing anything I’ve done yet so far.
I wish I could be a better blogger, because this is actually kind of fun, I enjoy writing and talking about thing on my mind. So if I had to pick one thing I cold still improve on it would be blogging. For example I wasn’t too good at it at the beginning of the year and then I got better, towards the end of the semester, if I was really good I would do it all the time.
One thing I would change of this class is how long it is, I feel like I don’t get enough time to get a full and best to my abilities into a blog. Other than that I like this class and I wish I could take it again... but I can’t.

Confused Words

This exercise was actually kind of fun for me; it’s timed so you have to be on the tip of your seat the whole time. This game ranges from middle school and high school, I still dint now about college student but it’s a good reminder if anything. Playing this myself; the only thing that confused me was I forgot what homonyms was, then I realized and it was easy. Playing this makes you realize that these word you have probably messed up on a lot and being active with a timer going off make you think quick. Over all i want to say that this is a great exercise for anyone and that everyone should do this for at least a little reminder, it’s quick and very affective. And again I recommend this to most people out there; just to do it is good, it helps remind you of these very small things that can mess you up so much.

Magical Capitals

This blog is pretty corny, but for little kids this would be great! just not college student. I believe were at an educational point in our lives where if we have problems with capitalization we have a problem. Now for elementary, middle school students I would have to believe this being right up their alley. You know there's a cute little background with a flying fairy, little kids would think of that being cute and fun. Over all this is still a great exercise for some, it still shows good thought in words of trying to help people understand what should be capitalized and what not, I just think we should send these around to younger kids because they would have more fun with it and get more out of it. Kids love the little things, color, fairies or even the noise; so this activity is perfect for them; I play this and want to shoot myself from hearing the noise and even playing this.

Grammer Ninja

This is a good game for people how have trouble picking out nouns, verbs, pronouns, adverbs and etc... It’s easy it's fun. I would recommend this game to anybody because there are 3 different levels: Beginner, skilled, master ninja. Looking back when I was a little kid, it would have been nice to have this because the words are big and broke up into squares so it’s easier to read and pick out the different nouns, verbs etc. When educational games are broke up like this, I believe this helps kids more than anything; they read grammar ninja, all they hear is ninja. So they play it and get excited because of the noise and you get to throw ninja stars, and the great thing about is your still learning! Over all this is a great tool for any aged kid or adult, yes it's probably really easy but it’s a good reminder for all of us who may have just forgot a little about these.

My Interest Blog

Beer! people go crazy for beer, different kinds, different shaped bottles. As i read this blog on different kinds of beer, it makes me realize how many different kinds there really are, and these aren't even half of them. You got Heinaken light, Pale gold, flimsy head, lots of carbonation, mildly skunky, thin-bodied and almost flavorless.
Lvivske 1715 Lager, Easter European, its a weak beer and  a pale straw color with a frothy-yet-fleeting head, and lacing of the same ilk.
Left Hand Milk Stout, "deep black with a brown head  and the sides of the glass are awash in thick lace.  This beer almost smells like chocolate cake batter.  It is smooth and creamy with light coffee and heavy cream notes, some yeast and a faint bitterness".
Ayinger Oktober Fest- Marsen; this beer was pacifically made for October fest, thees a shade of deep orange-honey with a big dollop of frothy head on top. They say this is a great beer to have, but it only comes out one time a year.
Summer Wit, this is made in Barrington, IL. It's a canned beer with hints of citrus and spices. It's a bitter beer but also tastes really good as people say.
Lagunitas Zephyr, it's a wheat lager, steam beer and from California. Studies show that this beer does not taste very good.
Kostritzer Oktoberfest Beer, this is another october beer which means it only come out once a year. It's malty, grainy and super smooth, a  taste of roasted carmel malt being closely followed by a doughy, grainy flavory and a finish with a touch of bitterness.
And lastley the "Old Style Lager" it's been around since 1902 and made in Chicago. It's a "sweet with a faint graininess and virtually no hops presence.  It is thin-bodied, mildly sweet, fizzy on the tongue and finally shows a bit of hop bitterness at the back of the tongue and throat".
All and all, there's just so many fifferent kind of beers out there that are really good and really bad. It's crazy to think how many different kinds there are, all you really have to do is just go experience the different tastes, wether ou like it or not it would be cool to say you tasted all of these and who knows you might actually have a new favorite after you do.

My favorite song

Back in high school when I played football was when I first heard of this song, this song has so much meaning to me and expresses everything you think and feel about being a senior playing football. I like this song mostly because it brings back the best memories I have ever had in high school. My last few games, the team would go to the cafe and eat like every Friday. Instead of eating and then leaving we would stay a little bit later and watch the music video and the day of our last game it brought tears to my eyes.
The starting out first two paragraphs are the most meaning full me!
When I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass/
I'm back in my helmet, cleats and shoulder pads/
Standing in the huddle listening to the call/
Fans going crazy for the boys of fall/
They didn't let just anybody in that club/
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood/
To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall/
Kings of the school man, we're the boys of fall/
Well it's turn and face the Stars and Stripes/
It's fighting back them butterflies/
It's call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/
And it's knocking heads and talking trash/
It's slinging mud and dirt and grass/
It's I got your number, I got your back when your back's against the wall/
You mess with one man you got us all/
The boys of fall/
When it starts off by saying "when I feel that chill, I smell that fresh cut grass, I’m back in my cleat, helmet and shoulder pads, standing in the huddle listening to the call, fans going crazy for the boys of fall, etc... for about the next 11 lines it’s tough to even say because it’s all so true, and when you realize its over its sad and this song emphasizes; enjoy it while it lasts cause when it’s over its really over. I would change nothing in the song it’s all perfect for what really happens so watch the video and if you have ever played a sport you have absolutely just loved you'll understand.

Stumble upon

Before you do anything watch this video!
.
.
.
I love football and football loves me, we go perfect with each other, when i grow up i want to be a coach. this is how much i love it! Today i stumbled upon this video of this catch. This is an incredible catch, this looks like high school players; this kid is a serious athlete making catches like this one are close to impossible if your not physically fit or just a pure athlete. I wonder how old this kid is? or what grade he is in? is this kid getting any looks from colleges?
What I have found out is he is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and his name is Edwin Baptiste. This is said to be one of the best catches ever in high school football in the state of North Carolina.
Athletes today are evolving, what i mean by this? high school athletes are just getting abnormally big, i don't get it. At my old high school we had this kid that is 6'8'', 350, solid muscle. There was a kid at Dr. Philips high school about 45 minutes away from my house is name is Dee Hart, he was only about 5'10'' but he is built like a tank. He plays running back, he broke all sorts of records and got a full scholarship it the University of Alabama. So like this kid in the video, if he keeps up the hard work he will get a big scholarship to a big D1 school.

Hyperbole And A Half

I hate this blog! I feel as if when I read this it's meant for little kids, with the corny pictures to all the reading it's just not my thing. So was it meant for little kids? Why are there so many words? Why did you write all the words in the pictures all bad and what not? That to me is trashy and shows no class.
So with saying all of this I would have to say that is blog is for a younger mature audience. Even though there are some language in here a younger mature audience fits this blog perfectly. Language is a big part in picking an audience, when you have "shut up I hate you" and "go F*** yourself" this just isn't suitable for little kids and they shouldn't be hearing this. This is why I chose it for a younger but mature audience.
I bring back to fact that this blog is so long; for people like me that don't like to read, we like to see shorter and more interesting blogs. For people who do would like this, you get the point. But she also makes another post under "Best Of" it’s called "The Alot is better than you at everything" not only is this one pretty good but its short therefore I don't mind to read it.

Editing Blog

Editing a blog, the best way for me to do this is to listen to myself talk. Listening to myself talk helps me because I can pick out while I'm reading to myself and as I hear myself things that don't make any since. One thing that I don't like about this is you don't know when you have a spelling errors. Over all I learn better this way and I helps me more than anything when it come to editing my blogs.
